Interview with Tamara Mavsar

Handball? CL final? Who do she not like to play against? Siófok? Return? Family and handball? Interview with Tamara Mavsar.

1. How did you get close to the handball? When did you start playing sports?

From always a really liked playing with a ball and in our small town in Logatec was one ex handball player which started with trainings in school and I went there and immediately liked it. This happend in the 3rd class of primary school.

2. How do you remember the 2017 Champions League final?

I will of course remembered that final for always specialy because we were so closed to win a title. It was on one way really nice experience on the other it was sad.

3. Is there a goalkeeper you don't like or didn't like to play against?

Hmm maybe Cecilie Leganger because she was really explosive and fast and it was not so easy to scored it.

4. You arrived in Siófok during the season. How did the girls receive? How was it to join halfway throught the championship?

Girls expect me in the team in really nice way from the first moment. To join in the team was not so hard because I was already familiar with system of playing.

5. Was the return difficult? Why did you choose Siófok as the place to return?

Return was not so hard, maybe just first 3-4 months when I need to do a lot with my physical coach to prepare my body again. I think that answear on this is simple. I came here because of my boyfriend because of my family.

6. Have you already achived the shake you were in before you had your child?

With this season I can say that I did like in physical  way and also in handball way.

7. Do you feel that you can/could return to the national team?

I came in the national team immediatly again when I started in Siófok with handball matches again.

8. How was the preparation? Do you feel the team is ready for the start of the championship?

I think nobody really likes the preseason but it is necessary to do it. We already started the champions, not in the best way but from match to match I belive we will be better and better. The team so new and it is normal that we need some time.

9. How can you reconcile your family life with handball?

I am having a lot of help from grandmas/grandfather, also now from kindergarten and babysitter in other case it would be almost impossible. It is not always easy but is a really nice period of my life.

10. What do you like to do in your free time? What are your hobbies?

I like to watch some series and movies and of course playing with my child and our dog. I hardly talk about hobbies because we need to take care of ourslefs in free time, but I like to ride a bike.
